Gil Pires is an eight-time World Champion in beach handball with Brazil as well as an IOC-appointed Olympic Athlete Role Model.

Gil joins Bini Mustafa for this episode of Straight Handball Talk, discussing his start in handball, his idols, and his plans for playing indoors vs. in the sand.

Gil and Bini revisit games and tournaments both playing opposite of each other and side-by-side, the latter, notably, at the 2019 IHF Super Globe in Saudi Arabia. 

Oh, of course they also talk about the clever idea they had on changing the rules for the card game UNO.
