Episode 21: Divine Jackson

Divine Jackson is among the most successful American handball players and was recently appointed Northeast Regional Director by USA Team Handball.

In this episode of Straight Handball Talk, Divine and Bini discuss the US handball trajectory from USA getting wild cards for World Championships in 2025 and 2027 leading up to the Olympics in LA in 2028.

They also relive a few memories from their careers, which they have mostly spend as fierce competitors where Divine played for NYAC and Bini for NYCHC. They did, however, play side-by-side, most notably, at the Big Apple tournament in NYC, where they almost did the impossible against the European All-Star team.

Divine and Bini also discuss ideas on how can they involve more kids from the black communities to play handball seeming that four of the legendary US handball players are black (Derek Brown, Derek Heath, Gary Hines and Divine Jackson).
