Episode 22: David Degouy

For six years David Degouy was the assistant coach of the US IVRY handball. Now he is an integral part of the talent development in Montpelier Handball where he joined in 2018 and became a critical part of the most successful handball club in France.

He runs the handball academy and works as an assistant coach to the legendary coach Patrice Canayer who with Montpellier won two EHF Champions League titles, and are the only French club to achieve this feat .

In this episode of Straight Handball Talk, David and Bini discuss what it takes to develop talent for an international top-level handball club. They also talk about New York City Handball Club’s preparations for the 2019 IHF Super Globe, which brought the two together in Montpellier.
