Episode 01: Carlos Prieto
Carlos Prieto is a retired Spanish handball player who played for top European clubs, and at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing won a bronze medal by defeating Croatia where he scored 7 goals.
Carlos has spent 20 years competing at handball's highest international level. Yet, his love of the game goes far beyond sport, and Carlos now dedicates his time to his nonprofit, Share and Play, using handball as a driver for children's education, health, and social inclusion.
In this episode of Straight Handball Talk, Carlos and Bini Mustafa discuss Carlos' start with handball, his regrets, and his most memorable moments. The two also revisit their shared history and friendship, which first brought Carlos to NYC to play in 2012 and years later brought them both into the Gulf Desert.
